The Key Action 2 of the ERASMUS+ program is entitled: “COOPERATION FOR THE INNOVATION and THE EXCHANGE OF GOOD PRACTICES”

This action aims to foster opportunities for cooperation and exchange of good practices between companies and teaching organizations to modernize and strengthen the education, training and youth sector.

The Key Action 2 is intended for the development of the education sector, training and youth through five main activities:

  1. Promote strategic partnerships within the field of the education, training and youth.
  2. Promote knowledge alliances.
  3. Partnerships for sectoral competencies
  4. Development of capabilities for higher education
  5. The capacity for youth development

This week, we are going to dedicate the post to the first two opportunities of  Key Action 2 of the program. In next post , you will find more detail of the remaining actions.

What is it?

They are transnational projects which are designed to develop and share innovative practices and promoting cooperation, learning between peers and exchanging experiences in the fields of the education, training and youth.

These projects may involve organizations of higher education, training and vocational training, education in schools, adult education, and youth.

What kind of opportunities?

It addresses to both public and private organizations for example:

  • To strengthen cooperation and networks including connection between organizations.
  • To promote the development and the setting up of innovative practices.
  • To promote the recognition and validation of knowledge and skills.
  • To support students with disabilities and special needs and to facilitate their transition to the labour market.
  • To support education and training of professionals to promote equity, diversity and inclusion in learning.
  • To promote the integration of newly arrived immigrants and create awareness about the refugees crisis in Europe.
  • To promote entrepreneurship and active citizenship among young people.

To whom is it addressed ?

eramus para quienOrganizations wishing to participate should be part of one of the programme countries. The organization that leads the project must be established in a country of the program and involve at least 3 organizations of different countries.

 

With what duration and budget?cuanto tiempo y qué presupuesto

  • For projects of higher education, between 24 and 36 months.
  • For the education of adults, vocational training and learning, between 12 and 36 months.
  • For projects of youth between 6 and 36 months.
  • 150.000 euros per year.

Applications must be submitted to the National Agency of the country of the program where the applicant organization is located.

  1. Knowledge alliances

The aim is to bring together higher education institutions and enterprises in order to work together in transnational projects.  The objective is the strengthening the European capacity to innovate and to support the modernisation of the European systems of higher education thanks to actions such as the development of an education model that is new, innovative and multidisciplinary.

What kind of opportunities?

The opportunities of these alliances are:

  • Foster innovation in higher education and enterprises,
  • Entrepreneurship and skills development
  • Exchanges of knowledge between higher education and enterprises stimulation.

To whom is it addressed ?

Organizations must be part of a consortium composed of:

  • A minimum of 6 independent organizations, at least from 3 countries of the program
  • Two of them, as a minimum must be higher education organizations
  • Two of them must be companies (may be consulting or intermediary)

With what duration and budget?

The duration of the project should be 2 or 3 years with a funding of 700.000 and 1.000.000 euros  respectively.

ERASMUS + charter

The European Commission has launched a new call for proposals for “ERASMUS +”: call erasmus+ KA2. The allocated budget from the European Commission will depend on the scholarships awarded and duration of projects and the number of partners involved being end of proposals the date February 15, 2017.
