ERASMUS+Opportunity 4: Initiatives for policy innovation

What is it?

In this ERASMUS+ opportunity, they are initiatives for policy innovation aiming at developing new policies or preparing their implementation.

What kind of activities?

  • Forward-looking for cooperation projects with the objective of stimulating innovative policy development.
  • European policy experimentation led by high level public authorities to experiment policy experimentation through field trials in several countries based on evaluation methods.

 

Opportunity 5: Comprehensive policy frameworks for continuing VET (Vocational education and training)

What is it?

This opportunity aims at supporting the development of public policies seeking to coordinate the provision of high quality, relevant and accessible continuing vocational education and training (CVET), ensuring an increase in the implementation of further training opportunities as part of comprehensive national, regional or local skills strategies.

The involvement of relevant National Authorities helps to ensuring that the projects contribute to a better understanding between the CVET training provisions and polices in place. The projects should demonstrate the efficiency of public authorities´ use of their steering role in defining the strategic priorities of national, regional or local skills policies and related CVET policies to create the basis for systemic reform.

What kind of activities?

This opportunity enhances activities aiming at supporting National Authorities´ effort to plan or implement policy intervention in CVET in order to secure the coherence and relevance of supply and significantly increase adults’ participation in learning. Projects may include activities such as feasibility studies, review of regulations and cost-benefit analysis on CVET, cooperation with other countries and exchange of good and innovative practices between countries, action plans and preparatory works to design and implement effective CVET interventions, research activities, forums, conferences, seminars and awareness-raising campaigns.

Whom is it addressed to?

To National Authorities in charge of CVET policies in each country of the Erasmus+ programme.ERASMUS+ Formacion Educacion Aprendizaje active involvement of national, regional or local stakeholders such as social partners, VET providers, individual companies and intermediary organizations will be an important element of the quality of the proposal.

Opportunity 6: Support for small and medium sized enterprises engaging in apprenticeships

What is it?

This opportunity enhances the submission of proposals which provide a support for small and medium sized companies offering apprenticeships, either newly engaging or substantially increasing their current supply of apprenticeships thereby supporting European projects that assist SMEs to engage in apprenticeships.

What kind of activities?

Activities such as building up capacities for intermediary bodies or using the supply chain of bigger companies to develop and set-up support structures for SMEs or activities including activities such as cooperation between the umbrella organization of existing European networks and organizations and their national members or affiliates for developing and setting up support structures for SMEs, particularly for those with no previous experience with apprentices.

Whom is it addressed to?

This action addresses to relevant intermediary bodies (such as chambers of commerce, industry and crafts, other professional organizations), relevant networks and organizations, relevant umbrella organizations at European level and their national members, VET providers and other stakeholders.
